Fraternal Association of Prayer and Sacrifice
What is the Trumpets of Jericho Association?
We are an association of
Catholics who gather as a faithful army at the disposal of Our Lady, Mary,
the Virgin Mother of God, pursuing the reform of the Archdiocese of Detroit
(of another diocese of your choosing)
from its many forms of corruption, disobedience, dissent, heresy and liturgical
abuse. The means we use is neither political activism, nor unrest in the media,
nor detraction of the many sins of the perpetrators of the corruption, but
rather prayer and sacrifice, mindful of the words of Pope
Benedict, that "The saints are the true reformers." (cf.)
This association regards all with
charity, even the enemies of the Church, and those false friends who strive to
destroy her. We love our enemy by wishing the greatest good for them, their
return to the fullness of the one true faith.
Please join us in our prayers and sacrifices for the reform of the Archdiocese of Detroit (of another diocese of your choosing)!
Our Goals
The reform of the Archdiocese of Detroit (open to other Diocese, too; see registration page)
Pray to God for our Cardinal, and for the successor of our Cardinal, who has already submitted his letter of resignation due to age as required by law
Reparation for the sins against the Holy Eucharist, against all the sacraments, and against the Church; whose abuses in our Archdiocese distress all Catholics of good heart
Why this name, "Trumpets of Jericho"?
The
name of this Association comes from the passage of Joshua who walked around
Jericho seven times. God himself brought down the walls of Jericho, through the
obedience of his servant, and not through the violence or might of arms. This
reminds us that it is God who will eventually be victorious over his enemies and
vindicate his just. Furthermore, the presence of the Ark of the Covenant reminds
us of the power of Jesus Christ, truly present in the Blessed Sacrament; he
alone is the Savior of all men; and of our loving Mother Mary, who is the true
ark, because in her Virginal Womb she carried the Lord Jesus, the Incarnate Son
of God.
